Developed for Education Innovations, Inc., The Colonial Age is a CD-ROM-based multimedia history curriculum supplement for grades 6–9. The program engages students in a simulation of the colonization of the New World as they play the roles of English, French, Spanish, or Dutch monarchs. Users send settlers across the ocean, set tax rates, interact with Native Americans, earn money, recruit soldiers, and make countless other decisions while learning about important issues that determined success in settling the New World.
